The Bluey moment has reached a fever pitch as the hit animated series about a family of Heeler dogs has attracted fans across generations. Even among those without kids, the endearing and clever show has gained a considerably powerful fandom that wants more.
While the next season of the series or movie plans have yet to be announced, Ludo Studio, the team behind Bluey, is slowing down from its breakneck release schedule. There’s been three seasons so far, with 154 episodes made since its initial release in 2018. The only upcoming Bluey that’s been confirmed is a few sets of mini episodes that were released on June 16 in Australia.
Fortunately for anxious fans not in Australia, they’re due for a wider release through Disney+ and related platforms this Fourth of July weekend. That’s almost two weeks later and it better not be just because of the tagline marketing for the “Red, White and Bluey” marathon.
As a fan who doesn’t want to be spoiled on social media or TikTok—where uploads of full mini episodes are already popping up—it’s a stressful thing when release schedules don’t align. As if we have the self-control to avert our eyes, people! In this case we definitely fear we might go full drama queen Muffin Heeler, moreso than Bluey or Bingo.
Still, we’ll try our best to be patient for the official Bluey mini episode drop, coming 12:00 a.m. PT Wednesday, July 3 on Disney+ and airing the same day on Disney Jr. and Disney Channel. The first batch will feature “Bingo 3000,” “Muffin Unboxing,” “Letter,” “Hungry,” “Three Pigs,” and “Animals.” We’ll still have some waiting to do as the second batch will be released on the same platforms at the end of the year, with the final batch premiering in 2025.
Watch Bluey on Disney+, Disney Jr., and the Disney Channel.
